Unhurried, hands‑on chiropractic care, the way it should be.
Personal care from an experienced chiropractor. Hands-on soft tissue therapy, precise adjustment and progressive exercise rehab, with the mix decided by your history and what your body needs on the day. Your care stays with the same practitioner from start to finish. No revolving door, no rushed treatment.
Your message reaches the chiropractor, not a call centre. Texts are usually answered the same day, even between patients.
Serving the same local community since 2012. Many first-year patients still walk through the door today.
Care people commonly see us for
Exercise and rehab focused chiropractic and sports injury care, grounded in careful assessment and evidence-based treatment. The body works as a chain, from your feet up through your knees and hips to your back, so we look at the whole system rather than just where it hurts. And if your concern needs a different kind of practitioner, we'll tell you honestly and point you in the right direction.
Low back pain
Careful assessment of acute and long-standing lower back complaints, with hands-on treatment and practical advice for daily life and work.
Neck pain & headaches
Assessment and management of neck-related discomfort, stiffness and tension-type headaches, including desk-work and posture-related strain.
Sports injuries
Management of muscle, joint and overuse injuries, from BJJ, boxing, CrossFit and Hyrox to soccer, rugby and weekend sport, always with a focus on safe return to training.
Shoulder, hip & joint complaints
Hands-on care and rehabilitation guidance for restricted, painful or overworked joints.
Sciatica-type leg pain
Thorough assessment of leg pain and referred symptoms to understand the source before any treatment begins.
Postural & work strain
Practical, realistic strategies for the aches that come from long hours at a desk, on the tools, or behind the wheel.
Techniques & therapies
No two treatments here look the same. Your care combines all of these modalities, from soft tissue work to adjustment, needling, stretching and rehab, and the mix is decided by your history and assessment rather than a set routine. Everything is explained before it's used, and only where clinically appropriate.
Soft tissue & release therapy
Active and passive release techniques, trigger point therapy, and PIR/PNF stretching to restore tight, overactive or restricted muscle and fascia. This is a core part of most treatments here.
Chiropractic adjustment
Precise, targeted joint work drawing on Gonstead, Diversified, Activator, Thompson and SOT techniques, used where it helps as one part of a broader plan.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (Chikly Method)
A very gentle, light-touch manual technique developed by Dr Bruno Chikly (MD, DO) that works with the body's lymphatic and fluid systems.
Brain Therapy (Chikly Institute)
Advanced, subtle manual therapy from the Chikly Institute's Brain Therapy curriculum. A gentle, non-invasive approach suited to patients who prefer light-touch care.
Dry needling
Fine, single-use sterile needles applied to tight or overactive muscle tissue as part of broader treatment.
Cupping & gua sha
Traditional soft-tissue techniques used to complement hands-on treatment for muscular tension and tightness.
Sports strapping & taping
Supportive strapping for training, competition and injury management, giving practical protection while you stay active.
Feet, footwear & gait
What happens at your feet shows up in your knees, hips and back, so gait and footwear are part of assessment. The clinic stocks Xero Shoes barefoot footwear and custom orthotics, recommended only where they suit your feet, history and activity.
Treatment doesn't end at the table
The hands-on work matters, and so does everything between visits. Care here is exercise and rehab focused, built around three things:
Exercise & neuromuscular rehab
Progressive, targeted exercise that retrains strength, control and movement patterns, from early rehab after injury through to advanced rehabilitation and return to sport, training or the tools.
Habit coaching for persistent pain
Long-standing pain rarely has a single fix. Alongside soft tissue and hands-on care, you get practical coaching on the daily habits that often keep symptoms hanging around: sitting, sleep, pacing and activity.
Lifestyle & nutrition guidance
Straightforward, realistic advice on activity, sleep and nutrition to support your recovery and general health. No fads, just sensible changes you can actually keep.
What to expect at your first visit
No surprises, no pressure. You'll always understand what's going on and why we're recommending what we recommend, and every decision about your care is yours to make.
We listen first
A proper conversation about your history, your symptoms, and what you want to get back to. It's not a two-minute intake form.
Thorough assessment
Orthopaedic, neurological and movement testing to understand the likely source of the problem. If imaging or a referral to another practitioner is more appropriate, we'll say so.
Plain-language explanation
You'll leave understanding what we found, what we recommend, roughly how many visits that usually involves, and what you can do yourself at home.
Treatment begins, at your pace
Hands-on care usually starts the same day where appropriate. We reassess as we go, and when you're doing well, we tell you. We don't book visits you don't need.
Simple, transparent fees
Appointment length is matched to what you actually need on the day, never rushed and never padded. No packages, no lock-in plans, no upfront payments for future care.

Dr Mouhamed Saab (Chiropractor) · B.ChiroSc, M.Chiro
Fourteen years in the same community says something. Essential Health opened in 2012, and many of the families who walked through the door in that first year still come in today.
Care here is personal by design: you're looked after by the same practitioner from your first assessment through to discharge, your history is never re-explained to a stranger, and you're never rushed out the door to make room for the next booking.
Care here is evidence-based and honest. If chiropractic treatment is right for you, we'll explain why and what to expect. If it isn't, we'll say that too.
Athletes get it, and so does their chiropractor. Dr Saab (Chiropractor) holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and worked in the fitness industry before university. For years the practice has looked after the BJJ, boxing, CrossFit, Hyrox, soccer, rugby league and union communities, along with bodybuilders, and just as many families, desk workers and labourers who simply want to move well.
Common questions
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. You can book directly for private appointments. A GP referral and care plan is only needed if you're coming through Medicare CDM (EPC). Workers compensation and CTP claims are also accepted.
Can I claim through my private health fund?
Yes. Health fund rebates are claimed on the spot via Tyro, so you only pay the gap on the day.
What happens at my first visit?
A thorough conversation about your history, an orthopaedic, neurological and movement examination, and a plain-language explanation of what we found and what we recommend. Where appropriate, hands-on treatment usually starts the same day. The initial consultation is $140.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on what we find, and there's no honest one-size answer before an assessment. You'll get a realistic estimate at your first visit, and there are no packages, lock-in plans or upfront payments for future care.
Do you work with athletes and sports injuries?
Yes. The practice has looked after the BJJ, boxing, CrossFit, Hyrox, soccer, rugby league and union communities for years, with care that combines hands-on treatment and progressive exercise rehab focused on safe return to training.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. If your appointment involves assessing how you move, gym-style clothes make it easier, but regular work clothes are fine too.
Do you stock barefoot shoes?
Yes. The clinic stocks Xero Shoes barefoot footwear, alongside custom orthotics. Barefoot-style shoes have a wide toe box and a thin, flexible sole, designed to let your feet move, spread and strengthen more naturally. Whether they suit you depends on your feet, your history and what you do, which is exactly what gets assessed before any recommendation.
Can you help me choose a pillow?
Yes. Pillow fit is part of looking after your neck, and the clinic keeps a range of supportive pillows you can try in person, with options for side sleepers, back sleepers and pregnant mums. Browse the range at our online pillow shop, or call or text 0416 922 566 to book a pillow consultation at the Bexley clinic.
Sore, stiff, or just not moving right?
Call or text and you'll reach the chiropractor directly, not a booking service. New patients are welcome, and most people are seen within a day or two.
